hmmmmm.....reports at a new price of 650 at dealers... (UK).... now that is a bargain for a reasonable memory sampler... wonder what'll happen to the s/hand price... bargains should be snappable with bundled deals, like including the 8 out/scsi option etc....

in the U.S. the local music seller here has the s2000 for $700.

The A3000 is �1000 (v2 is out now.)

A3k vs S2k no competition the 3k wins everytime.

What about A3000 v S3000XL? Who wins then?

Doesn't the S3000XL have some kind of wave synthesis on board? Does the A3000?

What is the CD3000XL (Akai) like ... does it have all the features of the S3000 because its going for a lot cheaper everywhere!

My buddy just bought an s2800 for $50!!! Still, I'll jump for a used s2000 for $300.

The cd3000 is in fact BETTER than the s3000, isn't it? Or is it lacking the analog inputs?

nah... the a3000 wazzes on any of the older akais.... except to say, thone of them allows direct to h/d recording a feature they are porting over to the new s5000..... it's really a TV AV production tool, reads writes smpte etc....

the s2000 doesnt come close to the a3000, but it is still and excellent little sampler... very worth the money i'd say

Has anyone tried the EB16 fx board for the Akai S2000? I am into Drum & Bass,Goa trance and house music.Should i buy it?
