I'm working with a Nord Lead 2 that had been a showroom model until
recently (still under warranty.) I've poured over the Owners Manual and
have set the MIDI Channels for slots a - d to 1 - 4 and the Global MIDI
Channel for G.16. I've tested my Studio Set-up in OMS v2.3.8 using a
standard MIDI Interface (not USB) and can confirm the NL2 is
transmitting MIDI events correctly but not receiving?! Tested in Opcode
Vision and Logic Audio - the NL2 will transmit fine but not receive.
Hooked a MIDI Cable from the NL2 MIDI Out to the NL2 MIDI In and tried
to play with Local = OFF on a variety of MIDI Channels. No joy :-( I've
even reversed the cables to make certain one didn't 'die' between this
morning and this evening!

Is there an undocumented 'hard reset' key combination I can use at
start-up to unfreeze the MIDI In port? Or a self diagnostic that will
confirm a hardware problem exists? FWIW - the NL2 is running OS 1.03.
There's a later OS correct? OS 1.06 per www.clavia.se Is an upgrade
applicable to this problem? If the MIDI In problem requires a physical
repair should the OS upgrade be completed too?

Thanks in advance for your help!

regards,
Jon

p.s. - Apologies to anybody onthe nordlead mailing list for the "cross post"
