Yes I program accents.But I do use scaled velocity for snare build ups to lift the sound before the hook or the 777 going apeshit through ny space echo.

I like using the MPC as a beatbox museum.I was referring to careful editing of the samples themselves so they sound nice and sweet.

The accent changes the timbre of the sounds my man.. not only the volume.. also.. every 606 sounds a little different.

mpc's seem cool.

filter bro filter.every 606 sounds different cause of voltage which is why i can't stand va synths.I used to have a stack of drum machines but i find life much easier w/ 1 zip disk instead.i didn't have a 606 though.DR110 and CR78 but no 606.had a 808 loaned to me for a lil while and a 909.I just get more accomplished w/ the mpc.

MPC is king of the sampling beatboxes but i'd still like an SP1200 the data compression makes the sound punch nice but the mpc2000 and 2000xl have a much punchier sound(to my ears) than the MPC 3000.

nah man, it isnt the same.. the accent cahnges the timbre by distortion.. you cant replicate it with filter..

next time i have 1200 bones, i'll get an mpc.. but in the mean time, i will enjoy my 200 buck ass kicking perfect mint analog beast.

It holds more samples.i know samples arent the same as analog that's why i use a modular drum synth and another old analog drum synthesizer and my monosynths for some of my sounds in the mpc.But if some one understands the sound of a device and has a good selection of samples of that instrument they can replicate it pretty well w/ an mpc.I have 75 808 kicks 50 808 snares and a multitude of clicks claps and congas toms well a bunch of them,I've got the entire SP12 library in mpc format,the linn drum the viscount,korg,simmons,DMX,Sp1200,727,909,oh fuck it I cant list my library i type too slow. I have 606 sounds but am seeking modded 606 sounds for my library,i have 2 zips and 60 floppies w/ just drum and drum machine sounds.and the library gets new sounds from my VCO synths everyday.

I'm a drum machine addict iknow what they all sound like you don't have to tell me but the sounds i want would cost thousands to own the hardware when the MPC can do them all w/ a couple of boxes of sounds.If you have at least ten samples of each instrument you can actually do better beats than you can w/ the original machines.All i wanted were some more sounds I dont have modded 606 and am having no luck finding 1 to sample.I have at least thirty standard 606 sounds i just wanted more you can never have too many beat machine sounds.
