Hi all!

I was just wondering how many of you use a Sherman Filter Bank and how flexible is this piece of hardware?

I've heard samples of it from their web site : www.sherman.be
,I found it to be very "extreme".

I'd be interested to know how "sweet" and "gentle" can it sound?
If a melody from a 101/202/303 was fed into it, what would the o/p be like?

If any of you have examples I'd be very grateful if you could present them.

Thanks!

Shaz - Der STURM

Hey whats up Shaz! This is Pete [ReZo-99] of High Society. Long time no chat. About the Sherman, you should ask Peff. He has one and I'm sure he'll whip you up a few samples.

Take it easy!

Pete

hi Rez!!

My fellow TB dude. ;-))

I've bought a whole load of XoX Roland

on ICQ sometime so i can brag about them!

Cya,
Shaz - nothing kicks like a 909! ;)

You might wanna check out a Mutator as well, very nice unit. Is available with MIDI as well, so you can use it in a similar fashion to the PCF on ReBirth only MUCH fatter!

Sorry but the Jomox Xbase 09 and Airbase kick blows the 909 out of the water. No comparison, especially when you crank the decay twice as far as the 909 will go.

Xbase lover.

True, but we are talking about the kick! He specifically said "nothing kicks like a 909! ;)"

Anyway, you can modify the Xbase to hold the Airbase rom to get rid of the 3 note limit and add the extra "samples". They are now controllable via a hardware knob. Add the lovely step sequencer and the 3 additional tracks for midi gear and you have the best drum machine ever...

actually the real 909 has more of a low thump, it sounds rounder and is just a taad bit puncier.. BUT the x09 can produce kicks/bass that will eat a 909, and with the harmonics u can sound so hard that it hurts, and how about some lfo on it ? huh its like having a 202 built into your kick, 3 poly can deliver full on MAD rythims!!

it will stay with me forever!
