I just installed the Analogue Solutions Blue LED kit and it looks like the fucking bomb!!!!!!!!!!!

If you guys wanna soop up your 303's and give it a really nice allure, go for it. Nothing beats blue LED's.

The installation wasn't too too difficult. It would have been easier if Tom Carpenter was more specific in what tools to use and for the polarity of the LED's. If you're just using a soldering iron and standard sucker, it will take you 3 hours to get two misely LED's out. If you're using a soldering iron and copper flat wire to pick it up, it's a lot quicker, but the best way to remove the old ones is with a special soldering iron with a built in sucker. With that, it literaly takes 10 seconds.

I'll have pics on my website when I get a new roll of film to burn.

At this point, I'm not too interested in modulars. If I had extra cash I'd get into them, but right now I'm saving for the MS2000R, a good set of studio monitors, a Behringer Virtualize and Compressor, and other stuff.

A mod doesn't necessarily have to effect the sound...I just got the LED's to make the 303 look nicer....I'm happy, that's all that matters.

Whenever I see blue lights it usually
means I'm going to the pokey.AS has a
modular for $500 and it opens up new
horizons MS2000 is a repackaged MOSS
chip.I think that's what they call
it......................................

They made many modifications to their MOSS which in turn improved the analogue emulation. Everyone is saying it has the best analogue emulation.

Why do people tend to shy away from the
real thing? There are plenty of new
analog synths out there and they all
sound good maybe they don't sound like a
303 or whatever but they do have their
own character............

I really hated the filter on the MS2000. You turn up the resonance and it fades its digitally impaired filtered sound out and fades in a sinewave at the resonance frequency.

That's the nature of the digital filter although I've found w/ MOSS if you reduce the Q it doesn't drop off as much however it doesn't scream as much.Korg is working on it trust me.btw the FR-777 has 2 overdrives built in so if you really want to scream it's the box for you.The manual has a good tutorial on programming but don't be afraid of all those knobs and slack midi imp it can free your mind.W/ the moss think of about 2:30 as max and it can get pretty dope. It's best to sweep downwards instead of up because the power builds up and can whip your bassbins into a frenzy. It's still a simulator.Fighter pilots use simulators to practise but they fly real aircraft for an attack.
