You should consider buying Emagic SoundDiver. It's really worth the money.

From what I´ve heard, Sounddiver doesn´t support The Nova.

There is a librarian adaption for the Nova and the Supernova adaption should work after some small changes, also.

For a single patch:
Global --> Sysex transmission --> Single Program
In Vst choose a midi track with a channel number that is identical with your units global channel.
Make sure that in the Options/Midi-Filter Sysex filtering is deactivated. Set Cubase to record and after the precounter press the midi button of your synth.

What is a librarian or sounddiver? Sorry about my lack of knowledge but i've only just taken an interest in music technology.

Thanks for any help.

A librarian is a computer program which lets you transmit sounds from the synthesizer to the computer to store and maybe edit them there. SoundDiver is the best combined editor/librarian program available.

Mickey,
You say the Supernova adaption will work for the Nova "with small changes". Could you explain in more detail. Thanks for your hard work.

The Nova has a slightly different SysEx identification. So in each adaption data type, one must change the Supernova ID to the Nova ID. It's half an hour of work.
