i'm having problems with the portamento, when i use it in prog. mode it sounds like the dogs danglies but when put with other sounds in perf. it flys off the handle and sounds cack.
help, I dont want to have to sample programms seperately.

First you should test if the part polyphony is set to mono.
Problems with the portamento in performance mode can occur when the number of voices that are played simultaneously is too high. In this case it may happen that the part which plays portamento is interupted by "voice steeling" and the portamento continues at an unpredictable value afterwards.
You can test that by muting one ore more parts.
