Been using the s/nova version 3 20 voice for some time and found an intersesting thing that does useful but strange things ,if you select 2 oscillators 1 & 2 say and turn them up and so fourth then with the 3rd osc turned off 000 ,select osc 3, you can still alter osc 3s formant and skew and even though its at 000 volume it still effects the other 2 osc.try it.
superb instrument though the best bit of kit ive ever bought,it was about time that £1000 got a multiout/fx instrument that does the job and thank you for not putting telephones and helicopters or worst still wolfs in it,still it seems some people cant make tunes without that button, now thats wierd and as for wave forms any chance that you can thicken them up like fat sawtooth special, just an idea however somthing tells me that to do that would alter all the headroom on amps and filters and cause havoc.i dont mind if it stays the same.

I have noticed this as well ,its more useful than a problem ,be nice to no what is actually going on inside s/nova when it does this ,can it make new sounds with silent osc 3 and formant and skew controls?

That's because the ring modulation is active on that patch and it uses osc 3. that is what those buttons 1-3 and 2-3 are. If they are set to zero with the mix knob and the mod for them is zero, then you shouldn't get that effect. The ring mod uses osc 3.
