So here's a (probably daft) question. How far could you get if you had an SN2 KBD and nothing else? E.g. your computer breaks down, you want to try writing music in bed, whatever...

get yourself a cheap hardware sequencer (alesis mmt-8 still good at �80.00) and you'd be well away for basic ideas and construction.
