i am having problems when trying to get more than one midi channel from the nova to play back on my rm1x. when i sequence a track on the rm1x using nova sound, midi channel 1 always plays back fine. (nova is set to midi channel 1; rm1x 'to TG' settings for midi channel 1 are off; and i am using PC data to call up the right patch from nova...)however, when i try to sequence anything using nova sound on to any other midi channel (with all above settings in effect, according to midi channel), the nova will not play back through the rm1x. sound confusing? it certainly is! (well, to me anyways.) i'm sure i'm just overlooking something, but any suggestions as to how i can get the full 12 voices out of this powerhouse would be WAY appreciated! thanks, peace,

iīm not sure if i understood your problem correctly, but i guess itīs the same that drove me crazy for some time with logic steering the nova.
here goes: set the nova global channel to 1
set the 6 parts of the nova to different channels (for instance 11-16)
you do this with the midi button

now your sequencer can select the performances on channel 1 and assign the programms to the parts on channels 11-16
easy? isnīt it?

hey thanks. . .okay, now i understand how to assign programs to channels - this brings up another question: is there a way to make programs poly? i.e. 2 or more programs playing simultaneously given 'note on' instruction, on the same MIDI channel? the nova does have 12 voice poly, but as of now, i can only get 6 singular programs within one performance to sequence. . . thanks again, liquidkid

yes, you can of course stack programms;
you just have to assign the same midi channel to this parts of the performance.
for instance: assign the first three parts to midi channel 11 and choose the programms for this parts.
the three programms will now sound simultanously, if you send a note on command on channel 11.
since there are only 6 parts (nova is 6 part multitimbral), thatīs also the maximum of programms you can stack; even although there are 12 voices, still itīs only 6 parts.
those parts can be polyphonic of course.
