Other than the Ext. Input and knobs a plenty, is there any other disadvantage in buying the Microwave2 as apposed to the XT?

No, unless you get one of the early MW2, since they've got less FX RAM, meaning that they lack delay. Later versions are exactly the same as the MWXT.

i thought the bit resolution was different...on the later xt's the bit resolution is higher than on the earlier ones
