10 000 Dollars or 7 000 Pounds.

What gear would you buy to make acidtechno.

Monitors, mixer,pc,programs, synths, sampler, effects, drummachines -a whole studio is what I´m talking about so you could produce and master your music yourself.

Ok let me hear your dreams!!!

I'd get a Xbase09 and an FR777, an alucase and devilfish for my TB, an MC202, a EA1, a Lexicon Reverb (any), a Latronic Norton step sequencer, a Orgon Enigiser, a doepfer modular. That would do.

I currently have:
TB303 (of course) w\blue leds, some enhancements internally (more bass, wider range, yada yada yada), Waldorf Pulse, MKS70 w\PG800, Novation Nova, Sidstation, SuperBass Station, Yammy A3k w/96megs, 1.2gigHdd, Zip100, Nord Micro Modular, Korg KMS30, TR606 w/custom mods (orange LEDs, all sounds modded 'Kin nice!) Yammy TQ5 x2 FM expander, Cheetah MS800 (wavetable rarity - HUGE MENACING SPACEY NOIZES), Roland MV30 Studio M music production system, MAM MB33 303 clone w/internal mods, Roland PMA5, Korg ER1, Boss DR202, 2 x JHS SD1 synth drums (wacky UFO drumsynths, piss on a Synare 3) w/trigger mods (run from toms on 606), Yamaha CS01 w/filter mods, lots of toys speak n spell etc, lots of outboard, plus all the usual shit (mixers, recorders etc). I would prolly get rid of some of the above to make room for the new stuff!

H, I have not got a website yet but I have found some of my stuff on Napster. I used to do Trance and Hard Acid for a few different labels but that was like 5 or 6 years ago. I have not put any tunes out since then as I have only recently got my studio together and in order to do that I have had to get a "proper job" so time is a factor. If you want to hear some stuff either search on napster for "Interlect 3000" or "Intellect 3000" or give me your email address and I'll send you some mp3s. I would be keen to hear you electro track as well, I LOVE electro

Hmmm. I guess I'd have a Matrix 12, a
K2600, a pair of 303's a 777, a pair of
akai's, probably s2000's, a jupiter 8, a
chroma polaris, an arp 2600, an er-1 and an
X-base. Remaining money would go to
hardcore porn.

By the way, a big psychic slap to the person
who wanted an imac. I'm a mac user and
all, but c'mon, an imac???

Why not an iMAc?? I have the new special edition. 128 MB RAM, 30 Gigs hardisk, 500 Mhz G3 processor an Roland Super MU64 Midi Interface, And an UA-30 USB Adio Interface. Works great. I have no problems with that. Its transportable... .After using 10 years an DOS/Windows computer and many many Windows Schutzfehler - i changed ny PC for an iMAC. I have Cubase VST/64, Meta Synth 2, Recycle, Tokyo,Time Bandit, Peak Time... + millions of PlugIns. Why should i use an PC or an Desktop MAc???

Yeah, that's a tight ass I'mac, I
personally want some exp. slots
though. How's that UA-30 usb
interface? I was going to get one, but
decided getting a Pulsar and sticking
it onto an old Power Computing 180
instead...

It runs good, but I did have to get a
bumper sticker that says, "honk if
motorola 604e's fall out!!!" He, He!

Plus the Imac is great because it can
get you laid! Girlz love them Imacs!!!

Yah, the girls are out in throngs at the
mac conventions, lemme tell ya.

Sku: While I still hate imacs, you get
a huge hug for switching from a PC
to Mac of any kind. Another has seen
the light. Nah, I just dis on Imacs
because they're so easy to dis on.
And now, with the G4 cube, theres
another tiny little bugger with no
PCI's for almost the same price .
Personally, I'd like a powerbook G3,
but then I too would have to sell my
ass on Castro, and, well, no.

And hey, if you want to trade any of
those pimp programs of your's for
other programs/drugs/sexual
favors/etc., email me.

I hate Macs period, gay as all hell, un-upgradable in most instances, and un-universal.

PC is upgradable in 95% of cases, much more universal, and has more software to offer.

Let's just hope that Linux takes over Microsoft and becomes the new standard.

Don't speak lest you show your
ignorance. Macs are completely
upgradable, they just don't need to
be upgraded as much because
they're actually reliableto begin with.
Universal? Almost all MIDI and
recording software is Mac-native.
And since this site is about music,
and not IT servers and
spreadsheets, thats as univsal as
you can get. And computers don't
have a sexual prefrence, thank you.
Anyway, having used PC's in the past
for music, I'd say your best
punishment for dissing on Mac's is
to let you continue using your PC.

So forget I said anything.

But yes, I'd probably ditch my mac if
linux company's started busting out
with sequncers and such.

"Universal? Almost all MIDI and recording software is Mac-native. And since this site is about music, and not IT servers and spreadsheets, thats as univsal as you can get."

I was actually refering to Macs being used for all computer purposes, not just music. From what I've heard, Macs are a lot better as DEDICATED music machines (ie. sequencers, wave editors). But when it comes down to a full fledged versatile machine, you go with a PC.

"And computers don't have a sexual prefrence, thank you."

Yes they do. Macs are gay, PC's are straight, and Atari's are bisexual.

Yah, for that kind of computer stuff a PC is
better. Luckily that stuff's no fuin anyway.
Mac's just tend to be better at the fun stuff,
like console emulation. My whole machine
is basically a giant sequncer/nintendo=)

Wanna know something funny? A
psychiarist I used to see was one of the
founders of Atari. His brother in law was the
guy who made Pong. Half of our sessions
would be him telling me stories about how in
the seventies everyone in the Atari buiding
smoked pot and got down in the hallways
and took hallucinogens whilst programming
some of the games. Far cry from being a
programmer now I bet. I think he'd agree
that atari's are bisexual too.

Recently I was told that employees at

smoke pot in at their cubicles and go
outside.

Oh yeah, lets not start that stupid

At the titty bar(they can't show the punanny-  ) i attend it's all you can suck.Give her a five and it's nipple time. And I use a G4 and use it for video editing and now they have solutions that go from the basic system I have DVCAM all the way up to HI DEF I aint got to learn no new software.Video Editing and mastering are the only things I need the computer for so PCs suck unless you need to write code. But you can buy virtual PC w/ Windows or DOS for the mac.I make music w/ music equipment.PCs are good if you need a cheap unreliable do it all sometimes machine.

-;) I love my G4 and when I need to upgrade I just pop the latch and it opens right up.I already installed 2 souncards for other peeps pcs and w/o electric screwdriver that sucks.

You can dump MICROSUCK from your mac too.

Damn!!! "H" you're on a mission!

This is no place to start a mac/pc
war! This a board related to tb-303
action. !!!

I have been a mac user for like 10
years at least, and we all know that
macs are more expandable, easier
to service... etc. but PC are
becoming a real tool for being
creative just as macs. I think its all
about microsoft... Just wait... one day
, there will be a OS that is not owned
by anyone... something like
linux/NT/OS 9 / OS X....all rolled into
one,,, so that day , we can brag, bitch
and moan about how much ram,
hard drive space, and MHZ we have
in our systems, instead of this
bullshit OS war, because that's what
it comes down to!

Both OS systems have unique
qualities that we want, Mac OS X
intergrates both the best of Mac OS
and Windows. Its a good ass solid
OS, but being in like pre, pre fuking
beta, none of works the way it
should, but let me tell you this, if Mac
OS X becomes as strong as
Microsoft when it comes to servers
and industrial strength applications.
Shit, microsoft better think of some
new thing to steal. (so this war will
rage on whatever we will do,
Microsoft has some great programs
though, like Outlook 5 and explorer
5! Awesome programs! Low on ram,
big on features! And what the hell is
with Micosoft buying like 150 million
$ worth of shares in Corel- their arch
rival??? man, we sure live in a
interesting world today, just make
sure to put that whole pc/mac bullshit
aside and actually use your
computer to write/paint/write music...
whatever! a computer is a TOOL to
express yourself, use it! Life is too
short!!! Express yourself with the
means you have!!!
END RANT....... =) I have macs and
pc's.....

No war startin just venting in a less visible place. But it's true they both have their places. It just happens that I don't need to be fiddlin bout with crashes and freezes(my mac does it too)Btw you don't use anything w/ the name beta in it if you wan't to go smooth.Vid folks is usin OS 9.04 OS X public beta.BETA testing is sposed to be free i can't believe apple's sellin it.i aint touchin dat shit until the Vid gurus give da green light.

i ain't startin shit I just don't need a pc that's all.You might but I don't so who cares.it's just an opinion. And the microsoft stuff clashes w/ my chroma key software that's all.I use the computer for mastering and Video that's it right now it's da king.Come on G3 or G4 + Final Cut PRO = Turnkey editing solution for $4k.That's crazy cheap to be able to do network quality stuff on.Even MTV,CNN,FOX, use it and a whole Digital cinematography industry is being made possible by this new leap in technolgy.Dude,Lucas is shooting the New star wars joint in High def and my joint is expandable to that I think that's cool. But they both seem to run rebirth great so there's the 303 part.

Now if I could just find $60k layin around so I could get those cards and a $50k camcorder I could do Hi DEf w/o learning new software.FCP is the Pagemaker of the future.Premiere sucks it's too slow and doesn't do capture from a DV camcorder that's all.I got a 777 and I still want one of those cheap plastic silver boxes. No wars wanted here I was just ranting a bit too so i turned it down a notch.besides w/o cheap pcs thr internet would be full of rich peeps who don't give a damn about other peeps culture.

-;)

BTW: I just finished having a mix session with one of my friends who has an MPC2000XL. That's some pretty tight shit...we sequenced my Z1 with it and it was wonderful.

there are hos everywhere you look the best ones are the ones that don't know it yet.seen.Get some game and a nice lookin camcorder and it does somethin to the female mind.Pimpin IS easy. You jus have to play da role and panties drop.

id get a shithot panasonic heavey-duty laptop (they make one which you can drop, it has plastic impact resistant case & heavey duty posidrive screw fittings etc like a G-Shock watch, it has an outer layer bolted on) - i'd get that with outboard Jaz & cdr for writing & storage back home

a small flightcased rack for my outboard

a projector device to project visuals from the lappy in sync with the music -

a k2000 (master keys) -

drumstation

3 syntechno teebee's

TX81Z

akai S1100 (cos they are 101% reliable bulletproof)

old (circa 1980-85), 32-8 soundcraft mixer.

a midi switchable delay as my 'tempo' delay (switches via midi to reset delay time with each new track) -

an old dig' delay with knobs for tape fx...

3 microverb 2's in a rack-kit...

a gate with it's own channel on the mixer and a dedicated send for the trigger in -

4 compressors -

supernova...

3 syntechno tebees do you sell those or something.Get a truck or lorry whichever you like to call it too.sometimes i feel like i'm in the analog korner/303 chat by myself.

I think you should at least get a 303 or a 777 or something that makes the sounds and the seq in the same box.202/101 K2000 as a controller(ouch my back)i like pc200 cause if it breaks it's just a cheap controller.LSD i mean LCD projector good call.

I dropped my sony broadcast camcorder and it's fine.A friend knocked his bigger sony@ tripod over and it's fine.So you can drop sony stuff pretty well.

speaking of sony EDIROL roland's desktop media division sells a midi to sony/canon control L sync box and sony has a projector out now that won't cost you half your budget and probably has control L.I wanna lsd projector too.Although i did squirt liquid on a pig from a squirt gun so I guess that was one.He was still sittin in his car 7 hrs. later same spot different channel i'm sure.I hope they fired him.

Make someone else trip.

This one place in Montreal called
"Teasers"...you can do some pretty sick shit too. Put a 2 dollar coin in your mouth, and lay on your back on the stage. The girl will then sit on your fucking face, pounane right on top, shake her tits in your face, then give you a kiss on both cheeks, then take your 2 dollar coin. =)

And now, back to the wonderful world of techno...I miss my JP-8000 damnit!!!
