Original Message 1/6 30-Oct-00 @ 12:20 PM - OS Version 1.5 for SNVII & NovaII KBDs online
& Nova II keyboards is now online. (
Supernova Rack to follow shortly)
This new os has the following
features:
CHANGES INTRODUCED IN OS 1.5
New Feature
There is now a new option in the
Global Menu - "Controllers Tx" which
allows the user to inhibit
transmission of all front panel Pot /
Switch MIDI messages. This does
not affect transmission of Bank
select controllers when selecting
new Programs / Performances or the
transmission of Modulation Wheel
on the Keyboard models.
New Feature [SuperNova 5oct
Keyboard & Nova 4oct Keyboard only]
There is now a new option in the
Global Menu - "Aftertouch Tx" which
allows the user to inhibit
transmission of all Aftertouch
messages. In the previous OS
versions, it was only possible to
inhibit Aftertouch for individual
External Parts while in Performance
Mode.
This parameter takes priority over
any Aftertouch settings in External
Part menus.
New Feature [SuperNova 5oct
Keyboard & Nova 4oct Keyboard only]
When defining the controller to be
transmitted by the Modulation wheel
for External Parts, the display now
shows on the bottom line the
function of certain standardized
controllers that are common to
Novation and external MIDI
equipment.
E.g.
Mod wheel Tx CC001
[Modulation wheel]
New Feature [SuperNova 5oct
Keyboard & Nova 4oct Keyboard only]
When an Arpeggiator is configured to
send its output ONLY to the MIDI
OUT, the Part select and Midi LEDs
now flash to indicate which Parts are
transmitting notes (Performance
Mode) or to display the current
Arpeggio step being transmitted
(Program Mode) - in the same way
that these LEDs would normally
flash if the Arpeggiator’s output was
being passed to an internal Part /
Program.
New Feature / Code Improvement
The Arpeggiator "Fill in" parameter in
the Arpeggiator menu has now been
sub-divided into two separate
parameters - "Fill in" (range "Off",
"On") & "Note ordering (range "Up",
"Down", "Played")". These fulfil the
same purpose as the combined "Fill
in" parameter in previous OS
versions, but splitting them up in this
way now allows the user to directly
change the Note ordering system
used from the front panel without
having to temporarily alter the "Fill in"
status.
New Feature
All MIDI sync parameters for the
Arpeggiator, Delay and LFOs now
show on the bottom line of the
display the number of MIDI clocks
per ‘step’ used by the currently
displayed sync setting.
E.g.
Sync 3 bars
[288 MIDI clocks]
Certain parameters in the
Arpeggiator, Delay and LFO menus
have had to be re-arranged
accordingly.
