Hi,

Do any of you experienced supernova users out there know why :

When I try and change a program assigned to a part in perf mode, it automatically switches itself back into prog mode?

I.e, in perf mode, select part 1, press +1 on the keypad to change the prog assigned to that part, and viola - the part has been changed by +1....*but* I've been thrown back out into program mode!

This makes the creation of performances really fustrating, anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Cheers,
(uneducated) Alex

i suspect, you are sending this programm change message from the keyboard on the global midi cahnnel of the nova.
change it to the channel assigned to the part, and make sure the global chanel is none of the part channels.

plasticandi is dead right make sure midi channels are not same as part and global channels, you can also get in a muddle with setting parts all to the same midi channel to create layers and thicker pads, with midi merge units that complete midi loops for recording cc messages to seq, you should or i do sometimes disconect one lead to cut the loop otherwise you get in a right mucking fuddle.

make sure that your sequencers midi through is off during editing (ore that no midi track is active)

ah yes of course... good call.... it's looping thru the sequencer and coming back out as a bank/patch change causing the nova to switch.. hmm....
