One annoying limitation of my Supernova is that there is no way of judging accurately the positions of knob in presets. So you if you want to adjust a setting or just find out how a patch is made up, you have to take a gues at it.
On my Electribes there is a little Led that flashes when a knob hits original posistion. Pity we can't have that in the Supernova.

Of course an ideal solution would be for every control to be motorised!!

This is a limitation indeed. As far sa i remember kinetik said something about an improvement in furure OS.
At the moment you can see the saved value of a parameter if you press and hold the compare button and then turn the knob.

The trouble with that approach is that as soon as you turn the knob, you, of course, overwrite the original value. I think.

Another way around it would be for someone to write a Supernova Editor which could retrieve the patches and display them numerically on a PC (or Mac). I don't think I've ever seen one though.

No, you don't over-write the original value as long as you're holding down the compare button.

If you want to see the current value in the edit buffer (rather than the saved program), stop moving the knob and release the compare button before the temporary display expires.

try it and see...

OS4 contains the new 'pickup' knob option as currently found on the new Novation keyboards. When this mode is activated, once a knob is moved, the display will show the current value, but it will only change once the knob has been moved past the correct position.

That sounds realy good. I have just been reading about the Virus and the snap (pickup) and relative knob modes seemed to me like the only think the virus has over the Nova (other than polyphony).

Finally, we get answers from a "real" knowledgeable person. Your code is sweet man!

Thanx Kinetic!
