any one own a jd800.
i bought one for �600 and basically want to know if theirs any user sites wether i got ripped off spending 660 on it and what people think of it .

i swapped my Juno-106 for a JD-800
i love this machine so much i wish it was female so i could shag it =P!

Count me in for a JD800 fan club - and contact me for LOADS of sysex dumps!

This is the best synth (not workstation or blippy dance crap) that Roland ever made. Total workhorse in every style of music.

Ive got a JD990, I Know, know sliders! but man, that machine is still coming up with fresh sounds for me and ive programmed the hell out of it! Sounds phatter than JVS/XVS and is just soooooooo coooooolll.

well thanks for the response i started this discussion topic because i thought i was the only person lucky enough to own this synth
when iwent into the shop to buy a synth (by then i didnt no what i wanted i had �700 to spend )
i was presented with a korg ms2000 and a sytnh by it which looked way out of my price range
well i played the ms2000 and was amused at how little it gave and the really shite filters so i thought id just mess around on this roland synth with all these sliders
well i was blown away i thought it must be an update on the jp800 because the filters sounded so good and the whole thing looked brand new
well i asked the sales man how much it was expecting 1 grand and above and he said 599 i asked him to repeat that and for him to point to the keyboard he was on about
i just couldnt belive the 4 note ms2000 was more expensive than this mighty jd800 so i parted with my cash thinking id bought some brand new synth( well how was i know it was made in 1990 i didnt think feautures like that existed in 96 )
well what a synth,it goes hand in hand with my yamaha fs1r and it is such fantstic new anolouge
send me some emails about how you lot came to own such a fantastic synth
