Ever noticed all those knobs on the JP? Find out what they're for and you can make any sound you need yourself

cheers!

hey, how 'bout this: i'll trade you my yamaha psr-15 for your jp8000 -- that way, you won't have to worry about programming your own sounds (just push a button and those lovely PCM tones will be yours instantly), and i won't have to worry about someone buying a powerful synth and not using it! i could also trade you my 486DX for your PIII-that-you-only-use-for-word-processing...

okay, sorry for the sarcasm, sort of a bad day -- search the music+tech chat for tips on programming pads, and really just read up on subtractive synthesis, and most of all _practise_ and _learn_, all those knobs are there for a reason!

Check the link above for patches of various roland synths.

This isn't the exact answer your looking for, but the Front 242 Live CD Re-Boot is done entirely with Jp8k's (well they have some samplers, and a v-drum kit, but the jp8k's are the synths in use), you get a good idea of what it soudns like after the thing is done... and besides, the music is pretty cool as well ;)
