quick question, i am expecting to get a virus b today, but was wondering if I can set up "drum maps" on a single virus channel...

I sample drums off my Virus so I don't know if there's a dedicated drum mode like on the Nord Lead, but you can definately do this with a multi. The multi setup allows you to set the MIDI channel for each part independent of other parts... You could make a 16-layer patch on a Virus B that way, by setting all parts to the same channel.

Like I said you may be able to do it, I just haven't tried. Surf on over to Access' website and download the manual. It should tell you.

no you can't the only way is as Craig suggested using many parts of a multi. This is not going to change in OS4, it was addressed on the other list.

Enjoy your virus, I got mine only a few days ago too :-)
