I have CuBase sequencing my gear, and I have the audio from my mixer coming into the Line In to the comp. How do I record the audio in Cubase?

Select the channel you desire to record audio, and set it to audio instead of MIDI. Hit record...

I recommend you do this instead in Cool Edit Pro 1.2.

So do I. Cool Edit Pro is the way to go.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the help. I had already tried that, then I found out that the input select was set to "mic" on some impossibly hidden submenu in the soundcard...POS. I can't wait to show off my new tracks...they might not be a huge hit here, they're more the trance kind of stuff that scores big on mp3.com, woohoo!

It doesn't matter if your tracks score big or people praise them. Make music for yourself and please YOURSELF. Nothing else matters.

I agree completely (with k).

But Pedicelli, I'm with you too. I'm making them for myself, but it happens to be the stuff that the mp3.com crowd enjoys. So I'm hopin to make a few bucks off these tunes.
