Subject: groove quantize, 5.0, weird errors

This is all Cubase 5.0 for Mac
For all the beats I like, I generally "convert to groove", often from REX files. Suddenly, when I try to apply the groove from one beat to another, I get an error stating "Some Audio parts could not be imported." Yet,if I open the audio pool, I see the "greyed-out" name of the file whose groove I wanted to apply. The grooves I want are also just sitting their in the "Grooves" sub-folder of the Cubase folder.
Any suggestions?
