Im having this wierd problem...

I git a amd duron 750 512 meg ram running windows Millenium , Sblive and the latest version of Cakewalk SONAR..

I m running like 12 MIDI tracks from varios sources and just one audio track. Sometimes during play i get small jumps. Really wierd.. Even more when i try to record all my stuff.
I had a pentium 2 266 Win98 Cakewalk 9 running tons of more stuff and recording at the same time with no problems. Im using all the latest drivers and so on?

What the hell is my problem anyone have an idea? Is it Sonar or what? I dont ned to run a lot of audio tracks so latency and son doesnt matter. Come on If my old computer could handle it why the hell cant this one do it. Im thinking Sonar our something. IS there a few settings that i can tweak to my advance? Please help?

/Martin

are you opening and closing new windows when it happens. it could be your video card setup. Mine does it on windows 2k when i open and close windows.

do a cntrl+alt+del and close out everthing but explorer and Sonar. And set the clock source to internal and see if that helps. Mine kept stoping when i had the clock source as Audio. But switching it to internal fixed all the drop outs.

i just think Sonar guzzles resources... way more than CWPA... it certainly is the greediest sequencer on my PC.

I agree. I have a 15 track song with 10 fx going and a softsynth, and hitting 49%. The same type of track in cubase would be around 15%.

It's actually running at 42%. But the Waves RCL may be the hog. I turned them off and each instance adds 5% to the CPU load meter. I have two of them going.
