So, I pay a small fortune for an UPgrade from Cakewalk 9 Pro Audio DeLuxe to Sonar 2 XL.

And those assholes at Cakewalk decided to demand more money for the MP3 encoder. In Cakewalk 9 it was included. Some kind of upgrade, huh ?

I've had it. I'm seriously considering getting an illegal copy the next time they release something. Why the fuck would you want to be honest and decent when all you get in return is demands for money, money and more money.

Fucking assholes. Drop dead!

Hi,

You shouldn't have to pay anything.

There's an updater on the SONAR 2.0 CD-ROM that runs separate of the SONAR install program. It that will search for your Pro Audio 9.0 MP3 encoder, and then authorize the encoder to work in SONAR 2.0.

I'll check back later to see if this works out for you.

Frankly, I don't give a shit if it's possible to install it through some sort of obscure interface or not. I shelled out more than $200 for the upgrade, and the first time I try to mix down audio to mp3 I get a screen that tells me I'll have to pay them if I want to make another one in thirty days. What's next ? Pay $50 or you won't be allowed to save your project ?

I've had it. I'm probably going to go for pirate stuff from now on. Crack up all you want. I used to pay for Cakewalk products...
