Hi guyz and Happy new year 2002 !!
Just a small question for you :
I'm about to change my sound card to get one that works under W2K.
The one i'm def. interesting in is the M-Audio Audiophile 2496.
But i heard here and there that there is problems with via chipset (crackles and pops probs).
So i was wondering if anyone right here owns it on an AMD PC and if it 's working or really not?
I have a thunderbird 1GHz on an ASUS A7V133 (chipset via KT133A)
So please let me know, and if it's defenitely not recommended, what else could i buy (I need analog stereo I/O, SPDIF I/O (rca) and midi I/O )

Thanks for your advices!

I have a AMD Athlon 1400 with Abit KG7 RAID running Win2K and a Creative Audigy eX. And i have random noise/hiss which cuts in every now and then. Sounds like a similar problem.

But I thought it must be the sound card.

Who knows now?

Can anyone help?
