Hi

Is there any driver software that sets up VST instruments as an actual midi port. It would be kind of like the software GM synth that bundles with windows these days, exept that it plays the VST instrument when midi notes are sent to it.

I thought about writing it myself, but I'm guessing that there exists software for it so if I kind find it I wont bother...

unless they operate in standalone mode (mst NI stuff) VSTi's need a "host", like VST, Logic, etc. I think.
