Hey. I picked up Waldorf "Attack" and brought it into Sonar with VSTConfig. Sometimes I get it to play and sometimes nothing. It happens with the Reaktor demo too. Any ideas anyone?

Yeah, its the "Reaktor 3!!" thread in the vsti & dxi forum - not sure if it'll be THAT much use, but you know.... community spirit and all that.

Yea it is wicked. Sharp and punchy as all hell. You got any ideas on how to play a bassline on it via midi keyboard?

Also Brett. As it turns out, I didn't need channel 10 as a midi setting. With other softsynths the midi channel stays at none. I'm doing the same with Attack. I don't know why it wouldn't work before. My Reaktor demo was working fine yesterday too.

Got the bass/lead playing from external keyboard down. Simple actually. The basses and leads and probably anything if you wanted are mapped to midi channels. So the bass I was trying to play is on channel 7. When I changed Sonar's midi track to 7 my keyboard was playing that bass. In my defense   I think the issue that I couldn't get Attack or the Reaktor demo to work consistently at first threw me. I still don't know what was or wasn't going on then. Maybe it's all those mushrooms coming back to bite me.

we don't need any typical cali-arogance here. haha..

I had problems playing some synths, until I had some data there and could hit play. Did you have any other tracks going , or were you just trying to play them realtime with the virtual keybaord?

If the second was true, you just need to hit play, or create a midi clip and hit play, then the synth will patch into the channel right. I had that with many of the softsynths in sonar. They just stop playing, then when you hit play on the spacebar they worked again.

"delayed gratification" I like that... sounds more carnal than "flashbacks."

Peace

Thanks Brett. I discovered that. Strange about hitting play but whatever works. Not the case with Tassman or Dreamstation or the Muon synth.

NI registration kept looping me back to the registration form so I couldn't register and therefore couldn't d/l the OS update. I keep getting a C++ error when I close out of Sonar with a Reaktor module in there.

The software pixies are out to get me. I just know it. Where's Steve, that bum.
