I didn't say it wouldn't work on XP, but it won't work well on Windows 2000 / XP until Emagic have spent a lot of time (probably 18 months - 2 years) optimising the performance then it may work better on Windows 98SE.

By the way if you look on their web-site Logic 5 will run on Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP. It is ridiculous that they have to support 4 different versions of Windows, we don't need a new version of Windows ever year, every 5 would be fine.

emagic's priority is on getting logic to work
with OSX more than XP

and you should be able to get a disk from
emagic that will allow 4.81 to run ok in
Win2000, dont know how stable it is tho

hmm, i'd have more faith in emagic than steinberg 'six releases until it works'. still �649 for platinum is more than i'm willing to pay.

(this is what digital village told me the other week, though they didn't know if it included exs24 or whatever)

i don't get this though, the upgrade from 4.x is �99 and you can get 4.81 for �350?

well that's not what emagic Uk told me... middle of feb was what they said.... and there's no need to get platignum tho i dont think unless you want pro-tools integration, 'gold' would be fine surely?.

Yeah we do but not on the initial v5 release.!!!

REcycle v2 import will rock. So will dual cpu optimisation. However the real benefits have got to be WMD driver support if that ever happens. Although VSTi mutliouts and the undo will gaurantee my �99 upgrade on release day 1.
