When I insert a standard VST dynamics compressor onto a Reason bass drum track I immediately get a very noticeble delay on the bass drum. I've selected 'plugin delay compensation' from the audio setup - is there anything else I need to select in order to get rid of the delay?

cheers,

Matthew

well I never tried that on a Reason rewire input in VST, but you could try a decent compressor plugin - the vst dynamic's is the slowest comp' i ever tried for adding delay - or use the comp in Reason? - i'll have to try that and see what happens on my test boxes.

Does the delay occur during normal playback or only
when you "record enable" the audio track? I know that
when I'm recording audio I have to cut the volume on
my asio-out channel or I get delay/feedback similar to
what you described.
