I’ve got a Midiman Audiophile Soundcard, but as there’s no lead connecting the CDROM to the soundcard I’m finding it difficult to record and play CD’s. Windows 98’s CD player won’t play my CD’s but the Windows Media Player 7 prog does, albeit imperfectly. The problem I’m getting is that the sound cuts out for a few seconds when one track is going into another on an album.

Does anyone else have this problem and are there any good cure’s for this sort of behaviour.
Also my friend suggested getting some Audio Ripping Software so I can pull samples off my CD’s onto my Hardrive – Any recommendations?

Phil

i posted the same prob a few months ago (soundcard forum - search for audiophile or similar)... probably worthsearching for the thread, but use winamp... there's a pluggin on their site to digitaly extract the audio from the CD, so you don't need the little cable, and then it's using the Audiophiles converters... works fine for me.

My suggestion exactly. Works perfectly with my DSP Factory.
