as u know, vst likes the wave files on the HD.
if they're on a CDROM for example, it wont play em back. i need 2 add another HD. the case is full & i cant fit anymore drives. i can either get a bigger case & then get another IDE drive or i connect an external scsi drive. would this work?

It would work great, you dont need any additional drivers, or any adjustments. just turn the external HD before the pc, and its there. a 4Gb scsi is now dirt cheap, you can even get them from audio specialist stores...

cheers, but wot do u mean by "turn the external HD before the pc"?.

ah, just seen this.

what i mean is: your pc needs to recognise all harware on startup, and that includes any harddrives you may have. simple as that.
