Hey,

Anyone have any luck with using laptops for music? I'm not looking to replace my PC, but for something mobile to work on music sketches while I'm traveling. With the price reductions on laptops, they are sure fast enough.

the toshiba and dell laptops are probably your best bet. I am using a pavilion packard bell, and am not so happy with it. there are know incompatibility issues with it and some apps like protools LE. Not sure about any others, but i have had trouble running reason on it. look to see if any of the laptops have there own video ram and don't share the system ram. mine does share and it causes problems.

I have a 3 year old Pentium-3 500 with 256 and I can usably run Nuendo with limits and do whatever I want in AbletonLive and Reason so...hey...I dunno what your deal is...
