Iīm a bit curious about Logic since I canīt really get into the VST way of working, with the cluttered interface etc. However, I am a novice in the Logic department so I want to ask this once and for all before I spend a WHOLE lotta money.

The advantage of Cubase seems to be all the 3rd party developers of plugins and VST instruments.
My question is: Can *all* these plugins / VST instruments be used as easily in Logic as they can in Cubase, or will I have to stick to the Logic plugins? Cubase does not have to be installed on the computer for me to use the 3rd party plugins/VSTi:s in Logic right? I know about the one-channel output per instrument in Logic, but that would not bother me...
Besides, version 5 should take care of that.

I have a PIII 733 with Delta 66 card.

/Jesper

all the vst efx and instruments I`ve usedin logic have worked fine so far Jesper so you shouldn`t have any problems and you wont need vst installed in order to run them. The only downside is the lack of multi outputs on vstis which you already mentioned.

yup... most work in Logic as Steve says... except no multi-outs (which WONT be in the first release of v5 by the way, it'll come later as an update)

The Logic sampler is SUPERB tho, a real power-house, so the Gold/EXS bundle is a goodie.
