I found a Cubase book, paid $50 for it and most of the info was for previous versions, with about 10 pages in the end for VST (mac version) If anyone has the real manual I Would appreciate it as well.

The fact that consumers pay big $$$ for these progies dose not give them the right to cut costs and provide cheesy electronic manuals (that adobie acrobat prints out crummie anyway) and include small overview booklets insted. Hope Steinberg and the Propellerhaeds get wise to this stuff.

why not invest in one of the many 3rd party "How-to-use-it" books - generally they are better than manuals anyways - surely worth it if you're gonna really use the s/w for all your songs ?

In response to the person who said 'crummy online manual' above... I think that there is nothing better than an online manual....you can have it bound fairly cheaply at a place like Kinkos or any other document shop, it is permanently saved to disk, and when your printed version gets pissed on by your cat, you can go print another one. I have vst for the mac, and it came with two documents: the book version of the midi stuff, and the online version of the audio stuff.When the book version gets either destroyed or lost, what am I going to do? Steinberg will think that I'm running a crack and need the books that I didn't pay for, or I'm using the program on multiple computers, which goes against their license agreement etc....

the one i'm adding here is for 3.65 not 24bit.. not that it makes too much difference... the two big ones are now on this thread for download... i'll add the other soon, the remaining ones are way smaller, each is less than 1mb...

it's in the SAMPLES/FILES section here - do a name search for 'VST' - it's old manual but all is pretty much the same.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

You can also pick one up using the morpheus/kazaa file sharing client.

Watch out for viruses though (some people pack the manual as a exe along with the latest infection, aint they kind).
