Hi

I was wondering how I'd go about using a h/w controller to do real-time muting/unmuting as a way of working on my arrangments.

Any ideas?

Ta

I want to be able to mute and unmute midi and maybe audio tracks by pressing h/w buttons so that when trying to come up with arranging ideas I can try out various combinations of tracks on the fly.

well, the mixer in vst responds to sysex so you'd have to transmit that unless vst has a cc to sysex converter, which i dunno cos i never needed to try it.

I was more interested in the MIDI tracks and not the VST mixer. I know you can record mutes and unmutes as part of a track so I thought it should be possible to transmit & receive them too.
