About the upgrade price being to high... A couple of days ago they emailed me telling me to buy now, or wait for the prices to raise 50 bucks.
I think I'll dump Cakewalk when I grow out of version 9...

my friend has cubase 3.7....
to upgrade to cubase 5 its $400
to competitive upgrade to Sonar its only $200 :-)
sounds like a good deal to me.
i have to buy the reaktor 3 upgrade as well... oh well

Maybe it's a good deal for people who haven't already thrown thousands of dollars at Cakewalk.
Being a faithful and happy Cakewalk customer (until now) it's a lousy deal.
