I was thinking about them recently alot, how they came in early with the ews64, but we dont talk about them that much now, same on many other sites... Anyone using their stuff at all?

ews88mt. Very happy with it, no problems really. Only that it's a bit quiet on the output so i have to crank the gain on my monitor mixer and that's with the card outputs set at +4dBu and the mixer inputs set at -10dBu.

i'm probably doin something wrong but i don't care, it works and that's it.

I have a terratec EWS88 D adat card.
It does what an adat card should do without problems.
On my P4 2Ghz the driver allows a latency of 6 ms for softsynths even in complex Cubase arrangements.
The EWS 88 cards don't always work proper on motherboards with VIA chipsets. On my former P3 with MSI VIA mobo I had random crackles from time to time.

oh, and 4 msec latency at 44khz on 192 samples/buffer setting with a 1ghz athlon via dooda. but who can tell the difference between 4 and 6 msec? not me.

i am using the terratec ewx 24/96 and i had only problems with it so far. random crackles during recording that really sound bad. maybe this is because i use a via chipset but i am not really sure. After formatting my partitions and upgrading to win Xp everything worked great for like a week but then the problems came back.

Stefan: did you solve the trouble?

I have a new PC with Intel i850(?) chipset.
Until now I don't notice any crackles.

yup. i was talking to my mate who's got one and he said he'd seen a few discussions about why it's so quiet on the net. haven't looked myself.
