Hey its me- I started thinking again

I know, you're like "shit now we're gonna get spam every day"

but

I really want some techie advice on my new tune. A few people have listened to it and they liked it alot and it sounded pro. Then some dude said that it sounded terrible, needed completely remastered and the percussion was inaudible (sp ;D)..so I'm a little confused on the matter.

This is the 4th time around on this mix- I just added a bunch new elements and changed around the intro + outro...also made the major to minor transition flow a bit more smooth..etc etc. Lemme know what you think of the track and more importantly, what I can do to make it fit right.

Thank you!

Andrew

Track is at my other music page.

well, now I know SOMEONE likes it!!

A vocalist named "Elisa" said she really liked the track and wanted to do vocals for it. She's appeared on a few mainstream trance tracks and has an excellent voice...

I'm probably the wrong one to comment, cuz this definately ain't my cup o tea, but that patch that just goes on and on is so out front and dominant that it leaves no room for other stuff, the "pounding" part is buried. build your foundation first, get it solid. de foolish man build him house upon de sand, de wise man build him house upon de rock. there's also a hollow quality to it, at least the 5 minutes I could stand to listen to.

and another thing - you've compressed/limited it too much on the master. you can clearly hear it pumpimng (in a bad way) at the end. agree with d, the drums don't pound enough they've been buried right in the back.

as to the guy who said it needs re-mastering, i think it just needs to be mixed again, you didn't mix it with a compressor over the outputs did you?

This song is great dude, leave it be =) If anything, add echo effects to the main nano beat, but whatever it's still great.

Gj, keep up the good work,

well if you compress over the outs you'd have to rerecord again if you want to change the comp settings right?
