Why is the radio so fecking sh.ite?

I don't know about where you live but all I seem to hear is bloody westlife and that f.u.cking black eyed pees song. Or classic hits of the 80's revisted...

And the songs they pick aren't classics. They're just vain love song ballad lift me up on wings of an angel style tripe. Arghhhhhh... If i ever meet that red headed little f.u.cker from simply red I'll fuc.king killing him and feed his corpse back to the people who spawned him. I will. You just watch me. It'll be great.

everyone who has money (ie. radio stations) wants you to reproduce so they have more people to spend money on them. don't tell me you haven't noticed that you're living on a farm?

I dont listen to the radio much purely coz it all sounds compressed to buggery. Its not just the radio stations that play shite. VH1 Classic, whats so f*cking classic about playing Sinead O'Conner - Nothing Compares To U over and over and over and over. It wasnt that good when it first came out, so how on earth could it be classed as a bloody classic now, I dont care how many times their computer picks it at random.

right on with the compression. I can listen to music at the studio all day at blaring volumes (but with dynamics)... and get in my car and be fatigued after one minute of radio program. Fuck that! It's gotten seriously bad...

ATL spawned an "all 80's" station a couple of years ago and it just served to illustrate that commercial radio sucked then too. It reminded me of why I ended up listening to college radio and the music that I do.

really nothing more than bits of noise to insert between the commercials......

which is the main course, after all.

If you're bored with the radio in yer area....change the f**ckin' station!

You're on the internet. Most radio stations are now online with either live or archived material. Do a search, find the music you like. Or find music that you've never heard. Or music from another culture........The choice is yours.....

K - don't you think that sometimes Peel plays shite records? He play's too many happy hardcore tracks and always tends to have a "dark" selection. I mean just cos a tunes got a "mad" drum section, that doesn't automatically make it good, know what I mean?

yeah ... but the variety man - I dont ONLY like dance - i'd go insane if that was all i could listen to

you might be able to change the channel in London or other major cities but it's not so easy in the provinces.

Nah, us country bumpkins down here in Kent only get Radio Yokel. And we only started listening to that thanks to Trevor Bayliss' clockwork radios.
