saw him on that show clint eastwood did about jazz, he was going on about how when he was starting he always wanted to be like nat king cole - played the piano like a motherer and sang on top. opened my eyes to nat king cole, always thought he was just a crooner.

all these guys from the 40s 50s 60s are gonna be gone aren't they. :/

I had the brilliant opportunity to meet him last year. He was cool, and direct, no bullshit. Brilliant, just sittin' with him made me feel like I might groove a little better. He was special, and incredible.

We all owe so much to him.
