I've just got hold of a TB Daytona PCI and the recording quality is desperately bad - rumble crack and hiss etc.. - I had a cheapo (�20) yamaha SB ISA card in there before and the quality was far superior. I have had problems with my machine and I think the Intel 233 processor or maybe the SDRAM is knackered - could this have anything to do with it (as it is a PCI card) or have I got the settings wrong or have I just bought a duff card???

Any ideas???

Did you manage to sort out this problem or is the daytonas
recording quality just bad?

I've actually sent it back to Etcetera for testing but I think it's just a bad quality card. If they say that there is nothing wrong with it I'm going to push for my money back because it's useless to me. I'd rather stick with the yamaha. But of course, I may be wrong and they may have had a dodgy shipment(which I waited 2 months for in the first place!!!!).
