I am torn between buying the mu100r and the sw1000xg.Price aside I am curious what anyone thinks would be the wiser buy.I realize the sw1000xg isn't for a while.

If you just want to do MIDI, and can't wait, get the MU.

If you want to do HDR, and want to use 6 effective separate audio busses with hardware effects from a multi-channel supporting MIDI+audio sequencer, wait for the SW.


This I see is the main diff. The MU still has the 6 effects units but you can't send different audio data to all of them to be processed like you can on the SW (AFAIK).

Also the SW has digital out (maybe in too?) if that is important to you - i.e. you can keep the XG voices in the digital domain.

I just hope the release date for SW doesn't keep getting put back.

Forgot about the price. IMHO it's gonna be around $500-700.
