Original Message 1/2 07-Jul-98 @ 09:18 PM - Maxi Sound Home Studio 2 Question
1. Play a MIDI file
2. Record it as a wave file
And all in the digital domain. I don't want ANY D/A or A/D conversion. Is there some way to do this with this card? I read something about it being possible with the Quartz Audio master 16 program that comes bundled with the Pro version of the card, but can it be done with the SE version? And is it really all-the-way digital?
Also, I DON'T wan't any programs that only converts GM files and replaces the instruments of the soundcard with it's own set of instruments, I wan't to use the sampled sounds, otherwise it's no use buying a card with a sampler, right?

Well, its possible to record midi songs directly on the digital way.
The only thing you have to do is to activate the MIX-Record of the volume control panel (record section of volume control). Set the volume of MIX-Record to max. level. Check it out. If this donīt works, please contact me again.
Your second question I donīt understand. Could you please explain it to me?
Ciao
Clemens
