Is anyone familiar enough with the 2044 unit, enough to recommend it for tracking? I am very soon about to purchase one with the 1/4" break out box.
I spec'ed it out against the other cards in it's immediate price range (sek'd, event, gadget labs...) It offers 20 bit converters(if that is actually true...see www.gadgetlabs.com),
4 ins/outs at once, up to three cards in a PC at once, and is on a 32 bit PCI card.
I eventually need it for live audio tracking...I'm not much of a MIDI guy. 8 ot 12 tracks would be great...
