Well I just bought a TB Montego to add to my setup. This is in addition to the AWE64 that I already had. My question is this: if I set the TB as my usual soundcard under the multimedia section of Control Panel, will I be able to use the AWE for my gaming needs? The problem is that the TB will emulate a SB as long as there isn't a SB card installed, and won't do so if there is.

So how do I set up the TB for music and the SB for games? That also means using the SB for its joystick port and the TB for midi.

Thanks,
Ferg

Okay, slightly off topic but same subject.

Has anyone tried using 2 Ensoniq Audio PCI soundcards with Cakewalk, VST, etc?

2 MIDI ins, 2 MIDI outs, 2 stereo ins, 2 stereo outs, and 2 mic lines for only $50 is pretty darn cool in my books.

Can both cards record audio and process MIDI at the same time?

Heck, if this works I won't have to buy that Studio64X I've been eyeing.

if you want to use the soundblaster for games then set this as the default Playback device in Multimedia.
This is because when using Music software (I assume this is what your TB is for) then the music software asks you for its own specific playback drivers.
