Hi!

One possibility is to use the Match-Quantize function, Cubase supports.
If you have already drum-parts with stomping groove (maybe from another midifile or from the Midicube/ Twiddly-Bit series), you can "copy" this groove to your own drumpart by using the Match Quantize tool from the tool-box from arrange window (right mouse button and the Q-tool).

Select the drum-part with the groove, choose the Match (Q)-tool, drag and drop this groovy part with this tool to your drum-part and release the mouse button. Listen to the result.

Another way is to create own grooves which can be used as groove-quantize presets. Please refer to your Cubase manual.

Ciao

Clemens

The best way to groove on cubase is not to use it at all!!! Vst midi timing sucks. Do yourself a favor and get a mpc60, 3000, or 2000, and FEEL THE FUNK.

I have both the Mpc and Cubase, well for ya dum ass if you
think you can arrange grooves on the mpc like cubase you
need ta shoot your self in the head. The Mpc could possibly play it back tighter but that's what middi files
or for. I don't have this timming problem either, so all
I can say is oh well and laugh at ya!
