Hi!

I use WaveLab 2.0. Its a great mastering-tool and
version 2.0 has very good sampler- options.

And..... its the most fast wave- editor on market !!

Tell me what's the benefit to do mastering with Wavelab? I believe I can master my whole song to wav in Cubase VST... What are the limitations when mastering in VST?

Hi!

With VST you can´t write CD´s!

If you want to create a final record list of all
your songs for a CD project, you can do this with
WaveLab (incl. CD writing).

But WaveLab is much more: its a sample editor, a
sampler tool (crossfades, loops, SCSI-talk with an
external sampler), batch processing for WAV-Files, restauration tool for vinyl discs with separate PlugIns, Data-Base Manager for digital audio files, analyzing tool etc.

I see. Is there any difference in the quality of the endresult when you master your song with VST or Wavelab to one Wav-file?

Isn't there freeware or shareware programs to write cd:s and create playlists and so on?

Well, you can master a project within VST, but there are all those little pretty features of WaveLab which helps you to do these jobs much more comfortable !

You´re right: you can ´write audio CD´s, well, for example with Easy CD PRO, Win on CD, etc. , but WaveLab is an "all-in-one" solution and its an amazing, comfortable and really fast wave-editor ......

I do my CD- and wave-jobs with WaveLab now since WaveLab version 1.0.... and.... I did never regret the money I´ve
had spend for it !

Um, where can I get those shareware/freeware CD Mastering apps? And yeah, I know I should be able to track 'em down on my own and everything. Tried a number of search engines, but to no avail (got some results but most were useless).
