I talked to Steinberg 3 days ago. I just bought VST 3.55 and like you wanted a more stable platform.

Tech told me NOT to try and run it on NT or else I would have alot of trouble with it. VST was written specifically for Win95. However they did highly recommend that I go to Win98 as it was a much more stable version of Win95.

They were right. I did a clean install of Win98 and I can tell you from experience it IS more stable than Win95. It is also much faster than Win98. And despite what all the critics say about it...as far as I'm concerned...it was well worth the $100 or so dollars it cost to upgrade.

Good luck

Cg

Hi!

What kind of sound- / digital I/O card do you use with VST and Win 98?

Did you update the drivers of your soundcard when you changed to WIN 98?

Ciao

Clemens
