Okay, so I got VST and a Darla months ago and I cant seem to stop it from lockin up. First it was just locking randomly, but now Ive downloaded the latest driver and it will only lock when Im sendin an analog signal in with Cuebase runnin. If I actually manage to record something and try to play back the wave, the newly recorded wave sounds like static and my whole comp will lockup within like 2 seconds of playback. Ive spent endless hours trying to figure out what's wrong and am drawing a blank. Im sure the buffers are set right. Ive got a p233MMX, an IDE HD, and 32 megs ram. I know I'll need to upgrade the HD and memory eventually but since the performance window in VST says the HD and CPU aren't being over loaded I don't think that's what's causing the problem. I did recently switch to WIN98 and was wondering if the new file system might cause a problem, but Ive been having this trouble long before I
switched. Read also that the effect.dll can cause problems but it makes no differance if I take it out. If Anyone out there can help me I'd really appreciate it!!!!
