I'M A PROGRAMMER LOOKING TO BETTER MY SKILLS IN THE R&B
RAP GENRE.I HAVE A DECENT SET-UP MPCS(2),TRITON, SOUND
MODULES ETC.I, M LOOKING FOR MIDI FILES AND/OR PATTERNS
MODELED AFTER THE UBERSHALL LOOPS FOUND ON THE NU R&B
CD. I WOULD PURCHASE THE CD IF IT HAD MIDI FILES. (PURPOSE TO STUDY PLACEMENT OF DRUMS KIK,SNARE ETC)ANY IDEAS SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET THIS TYPE PROGRAMMING
ACCOMPLISHED? I DON'T WANT TO BITE!!! I JUST NEED A REFERENCE POINT 5 OR SO GROOVES WOULD SUFFICE.WILLING TO EXCHANGE FILES AND/OR PAY FOR FILES. IF THERE ARE ANY MIDI MANUFACTURES OUT THER WITH THESE TYPES OF FILES PLEASE RESPOND.......... HELP NEEDED YESTERDAY

easy - sample a bar or two of a drum pattern from the cd in your mpc... then loop it perfect, then copy the drums in the midi seqncer side of the mpc as the loop plays you can hear the drums,- start with putting in the same kik drums, as they are easiest to hear... then add hats and midrange drums... to make it easier, when doing/copying the hat pattern, eq the drum-loop so that only the thin top-end is playing - that way you can hear the hats in greater isolation to identify the beats playing... try that

^^^^^^^^^^^^thats exactly how I teef other peoples drum patterns^^^^^^^^^^^^^




































It works bloody well too, each time you lay down a piece of the bar, just mute the loop to see if it feels right.
