sounds have a nice 'body' but lack a certain 'snap' in their
attack...you could try a lot of thing like compression,
fucking with the AMP-Envellope, micing them together with
other sounds etc. Here's a trick that works particularly
well on bassdrums, snares hats etc.
In sound forge go to the menu where you van draw a pitch
bent curve. Set it up very high at the beginning at a range
of one or two actave and let it come down 80% to the middle
in a few millesecs. Then either let is come down to it's
normal pitch in the nect few millisecs or slowly towards the
end of the sample...very with the timing and range...some
snares and other percussives get a nice snappy sound of
this

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
