hey guys and gals

as you have noticed, my tracks have really thin sounding drums to em (at least what I think). I've ran out of drum samples and would like maybe a link to were I can pick up some more- not too expensive! I was thinking of anything along the lines of ATB (you may not like him, but he has the chunkiest fattest drums ever) to DJ tiesto...a combination of both would be fantastic!

Or in the long run should I look at some drum synths or something?

thanks all =)

Layer, layer, layer.

Did I mention layering can fatten up your drums?

aside from layering different drum sounds, try having multiple versions of the same beat processed in different ways, a bp filtered sizzly on with a touch of delay, a notch filtered one that emphasizes the thud of the kick, one with a long attack and release on the slices to add a ghostly air. etc. delete select hits fom the processed versions and presto this is not your fathers oldsmobile.

you should go to mp3.com and search free samples and they have plenty of drum kits. or just layer your drum samples and then add say a light fuzz or ditortion sound to them for that fat punchy sound.
